entilzah
Is it possible that if I return this to the place I bought the game and got a new copy that the new one will work?
Guest DarthMaulUK
I suggest that you update everything on your PC. Thats the first step. Also, when installing, turn off any anti virus software, any burning tools etc and see how you get on DMUK

Guest DarthMaulUK
You must have some kind of daemon tools or something smiliar installed. You will need to remove these tools You might also want to try creating a 'Guest' account on your PC then installing EaW on there. For some reason, this seems to work - especially for those who have previously installed any form of tools/burning/clone cd/dvd software on their PC DMUK
entilzah
I even tried to install the game on my XP 64 OS and got the same error. There must be something else going on. I am not sure what you mean by installing on the Guest account, but I turned on guest in XP and tried to install from there using admin access to no avail. The demo installs with no problems. Guest DarthMaulUK
I suggest you totally remove the demo and ANY mod files you might have downloaded. Then, download a registry tool from http://www.downloads.com - regedit is a good one. Then get that to remove any Empire at War files left in your registry. Once you have done that, reboot and then re-install. DMUK
