Selectable PC Question/Left Hand

This might have already been asked, but was not sure. Anyways, is it possible to

play as a hologram character? I used KSE to change into hologram_goto, but he just appears as a blue/green person.

 

Also I noticed that I can not use a character's left hand as a dominant hand. Same with the party members. Why is this? Is it fixable?

The Hologram effect is applied automatically by the game if the "Hologram" field in the UTC file of the NPC is set. I don't know if it works to do the same thing with the player character, or if this is for NPCs only.

 

As for left/right handedness it's probably a quick way for the developers to save time to only allow righthanded characters. If both were possible you'd need essentially twice as much animation for each character model, since you'd need a lefthanded animation to go along with the righthanded one. Thus it's not fixable unless you add new animations to the Male/Female animation supermodels, which is very difficult to do.

Yeah I guess it would take more animations. I thought that since you could use duel weapons, then it would be possible to play left handed.
