Darth Raum
I got the Final Fantasy VII music pack and it didn't exactly come with instructions on how to add to the game. I hear that you can edit your in-game music playlist thing or something, so if anyone knows what the heck I'm talking about, please help.
Tinny
Are the music files in a .pk3 file? If not, do you know how to pack and unpack .pk3 files?
Darth Raum
They are in pk3... but i don't know how to unpack them.
Tinny
Ok, place the .pk3 file in the base folder which is inside the gamedata folder if its just music. It should change whatever music it was intended to change (e.g. if its changes duel music you'll hear the change next time you're in a duel). Darth Raum
Basically, this mod contains 4 songs. I know how to remove them from the pk3, but when i extract them, the 4 songs ARE pk3's and the game isn't playing them.
Tinny
Woah? Can I take a look at the file mod your using? Usually you just take the .pk3 file the author sends and place it in the base folder without extracting anything unless the .pk3 is in a .zip file or something. Darth Raum
Here's the link = http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/FF7_Advent_Children_Duel_Music_Pack;49960 Â By the way... nice old school mod there!
Tinny
Thankyou . Btw, the zip file contains 4 .pk3 files. From the .zip file you extract one of the four .pk3s that is your favorite song and you place it in the gamedata/base folder.
Darth Raum
and... if i do that, then the song will ALWAYS play in a duel, or randomly?
Tinny
Should be always.
Darth Raum
hm... could subfolders in maps i have with their own music be interfereing? Because I have the duel of the fates map from episode 1 which has Duel of the Fates playing as a bg theme, and then 2 versions of the emperor's throne room, and several other maps with their own music. If they are interfering, is there anyway I can edit the mods myself to fix the problem. I have WinRar and it can go into the pk3's, so i can edit source data if I have to.
