AlBundy
While playing I noticed that when equipping armor or robes with different armor value it will only max out my AC at 38, is it possible to get it higher then this? I noticed HK-47 has 55 AC so I was wondering how I can increase the maximum amount of AC the PC can have, cause all these custom armors I make have insane armor value which doesn't have any affect. So is there anyway to fix this?

I noticed HK-47 has 55 AC so I was wondering how I can increase the maximum amount of AC the PC can have, cause all these custom armors I make have insane armor value which doesn't have any affect. So is there anyway to fix this? If I remember correctly there is a cap for how much Defense you can get of the same type. There are a few different "types" of defense bonuses used: Armor - Gained from wearing armors Natural - Usually gained from character-specific bonuses. Dodge - Gained from force powers boosting the defense. Shield - Unused in KotOR as far as I can tell Deflect - Unused in KotOR as far as I can tell Since I believe all items granting Defense use the "Armor" variety you will reach a point where equipping more such items don't increase the Defense any more. You can change that by making different types of items (armbands, weapons etc) grant a different type of Defense. I have done this in my game which allows you to get higher Defense by wearing such items, so I know it works. On top of that you gain Defense from having a high dexterity while not wearing anything that limits the Dexterity-bonus to Defense. Don't remember what type that counts as, but I don't think the Dexterity bonus to Defense is capped. You also gain defense bonus from some classes. How much varies with each class (as set in the acbonus.2da file). If you want to boost the Defense given to all with a particular class you can do that here. Aside from that, having high dexterity while wearing robes or clothing and using equipment granting further Dexterity bonus you can boost your defense considerably. You get +1 Defense for every 2 points of Dexterity you have above 10.
AlBundy
I'm looking at the acbonus.2da through KT, and I changed the values in the SOL (soldier) and JDG (gaurdian) fairly higher then normal. Will this affect only the PC, or everyone in the game of that class type? Thanks for the help!
