How do I find .dlg file?

Hello everyone, I need to find a conversation from Kotor and I don't know how. I know I need to find an specific .dlg file, I have already all the tools I need (kotor tool, talk-ed, findref, dlg editor) but I don't know how to find the file itself. I want to find the conversation between Canderous Ordo and the main Character when they meet in the Cantina and Canderous talk about his plan to leave Taris. Can someone explain this to me?

Thank you all in advance!

Thank you! Is there a way to easily find this file or is just practice? I mean, in case I need to do future dialogue changes?

In most cases dialogs that only occur within a specific module in the game are located within the RIM file with the _s suffix in the name of that module (unlike party member dialogs which are in the global game data). So if you know which module the conversation takes place that's the first place to look.

Make sure you've enabled module name/descriptions in the treeview in KotorTool's options window. That will make it easier to locate the module. Then look through the DLG files found within that RIM file. Usually their names offer some clue as to what they are. If not you can just open each DLG file in the module RIM file and peek inside to see what it contains until you find the one you look for.

Of course if you know any of the text from the dialog itself, you could use FindRefs with the following settings: Show Only TLK file references, Allow Partial Matches, and only select .dlg for file types to search. Click Search. After it's done searching, you can select which files you want then click Extract Selected Files. Note that dialogs take a little longer to search through than other files.
