Aayla Offee Posted September 25, 2006 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Okay- I've been looking at some files in the KotoR 2 section of KotorTool, and I keep seeing things from KotoR!! Like- in the 2da appearance, I see "party_npc...." and then all the characters from KOTOR....even Calo Nord! I've played TSL through once....maybe I missed some whole sections where characters from the original are there...but- I don't know.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Since KotOR2:TSL is based on the same game engine as the first game there are a lot of references to KotOR1 game data. Some of this remains with all the parts intact in the TSL data files even if those things are never used in the game itself (such as Calo Nord) while some of them are missing parts of their data (like for example Jolee who is referenced in appearance.2da but his model and textures are not present in the game data). In 2DA files in particular you may see references back to things from KotOR1 (and in some cases ever Neverwinter Nights) since the 2DA format often don't allow for easily removing lines without causing massive headache to remap all the references to following lines in the files.
