lactose_
Hi all! I like the Jedi Council robe models (they're named N_JediCounF and N_JediCounM) from K1, but I don't like the piece of cloth running down between the legs. They clip the legs really bad, and look like some weird tail when the characters are moving, especially since they don't move up and down, only from side to side! Could somebody with some modelling ability remove the cloths, front & back, from both the male and female models? Thanks in advance!
LORD SPARTAN
Have you try to edite this part with a black zone in the alpha chanel? I think it should do it.
lactose_
You mean make it invisible? I think you would then be able to see through the area, but there'd be a hole in the character. EDIT: Well actually it almost works, but the inside of the texture can still be seen, i.e you can see the back cloth from the front of the model, and vice-versa (hope that makes sense!). LORD SPARTAN
Yeah, I think I understand what you are saying, but if you could upload a picture, it would be more clear. If I understand well, you'r saying that you still see the back of the flaps. If it's what you'r saying, then you must find the other zone and you should be ok. lactose_
Yup you totally got what I was saying Hmm I suppose you're right, after all you were correct the first time. The 'other zone' might be in the bottom right corner of the texture; I'll try to do it soon and let ya know. Of course this won't be as good as an edited model! But I must say, after using that model for a while, the flaps are kinda growing on me! LOL
LORD SPARTAN
Like you said, it's not a remodel robe but a reskin. But as soon I can understand al the princinple of modelling (what Kha was teaching me), I will be more than happy to take request, starting by my own, LOL
lactose_
If Kha's teaching you you're halfway there! Please keep this request in mind once you get the skillz... I've been wanting to retexture this but I just can't find the time these few days; perhaps during the weekend I'll try to see if it can be done. lactose_
Ok, I've done it. But it seems that I was right too, LORD SPARTAN (I've always wondered what it'd feel like to be called "Lord". Lemme know ). As you can see, there is a faint outline of the flap where it should be. The only thing now is that, cos it's invisible, it makes the rest of the model see-thru as well. Hence you can see the ground behind Bastila through those thin lines on her legs. Oh well, at least I tried.

Well sometime it works perfectly and sometime it won't, then again it's another reason for me to learn modelling. UPDATE: I've learned more about modeling and I got this result (saber not included): http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w154/SeigneurSpartan/swkotor2008-02-0716-24-02-14.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w154/SeigneurSpartan/swkotor2008-02-0716-24-25-96.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w154/SeigneurSpartan/swkotor2008-02-0716-24-35-98.jpg
