MtBlanc
Now, I know that this might be a tired topic, but I haven't seen it lately. I have seen "What is your favorite MI game" but not this. If I am wrong you may laugh at me all you want. However, I am interested in what everyone claims their top 10 list of adventure games is. I am also interested in how other LucasArts games stack up against MI games and how other publishers compare to LucasArts. If you can't think of 10, that is fine, because I am just curious. No more than 10 though please. ------------------ Oh there's a monkey in my pocket/And he's stealing all my change/His stare is blank and glassy/I suspect that he's deranged. Guest nathanism666
I'm partial to a bit of George Stobbart myself.(I like the 2 broken sword games). I'd recommend them to anyone. I've been trying to get through Discworld Noir lately, It's quite good as adventure games go, but it has the biggest plot/gameplay twist i've ever seen. Try it. Dec Ryan
1. The Longest Journey 2. Escape from Monkey Island 3. Curse of Monkey Island I only recently converted as an adventure gamer by TLJ and I've only finished those 3. Though I have Gabriel Knight 3 and Riven, but I found the GK3's interface kinda difficult and altough Riven's an interesting game but I dunno I just don't want to play it again. Before TLJ I was and still am Action/Adventure, Real Time Strategy, Simulations, Role Playing Game, and Turn Based Strategy gamer ------------------ Dec Ryan The Longest Journey Fans Forum End of the Journey "Make like a jellyfish and dry up on the beach!" Guest nathanism666
All you people should try the brocken sword games. They match up to the monkey island series really well. And the humour is pretty good as well. Role on brocken sword 3!
MtBlanc
I'm not very well traveled in terms of adventure games, most of the ones I have played have been LEC games, but here is my list. 1.Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge 2.Secret of Monkey Island 3.Sam and Max 4.Grim Fandango 5.Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 6.Curse of Monkey Island 7.Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis 8.Day of the Tentacle 9.Toonstruck 10.Starship Titanic newfoundgloryboy, I agree. MtBlanc
Wait a minute...I was the one who started this topic! Nevermind what I said about public humiliation. I said that in haste and did not mean it. I should of rethought what I said instead of wishing public humiliation upon myself. Now let's forget whatever I said and no one should scroll the page back to my message. ------------------ Oh there's a monkey in my pocket/And he's stealing all my change/His stare is blank and glassy/I suspect that he's deranged. MtBlanc
I've never heard of the Discworld series, Legend of Kyrandia, Simon the Sorcerer, Freddy Pharkass, Broken Sword, or Beneath a Steel Sky. Are these games that have only been released in Europe? Do you know how I can get any of them across the pond? ------------------ Oh there's a monkey in my pocket/And he's stealing all my change/His stare is blank and glassy/I suspect that he's deranged. MtBlanc
Actually, I might have played a demo of one of those. There was this one game that had something to do with a bombing and a clown with a mask and a sewer. Is this one of the Broken Sword games or do I just need to get a lot more sleep and stay out of the sun? Sun...that's a good one! I haven't seen the sun in Seattle in a long time. ------------------
