Surface descriptor problem

Hi,

 

I have currently got GtkRadiant 1.4 +Raven & Classic packs installed.

 

I have been following RichDiesals lessons and encountered a problem with my Surface descriptor when making end caps in the curves section.

 

I make my end cap no problems but when i go to alter my textures I call up the surface descriptor interface and it does not have the patch section, just the brush section.

 

Any ideas why? It has me stumped, I have looked everywhere in GtkR to sort this out.

Rich's tutorial is for JK2Radiant. Many things have changed in the editor since then. I am also using GTKRadiant 1.4.0 and have not yet found how to adjust patch textures. But, then, I have not been looking very hard.
