Ability to custom name Capital Ships as they are constructed?

One thing that isn't needed, but would certainly be awesome, is the ability to custom name a capital ship as it is constructed. I've searched for mods that may allow you to do this but I haven't found anything. I figured out the way that you could change the text documents in the game files to the names you wanted your ships to be, but I don't think thats really the same.

 

If anyone has heard of a mod (or something) to do this, please inform me.

The text files are in the GameData\Data folder, and you'd have to add it to the file for that ship type (if you want a Nebulon Frigate named Pink Flower, open up the Nebulon B Frigate txt file & add it).

 

I don't know about anything in-game, though...

Yeah, as I said before I have customised it changing the text files but it isn't really the same thing. Something that is annoying is when your get two ships with the same name, this shouldn't happen.
