{TheChosenOne} Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Well I noticed that even after a target has lost all their DP they can still take a couple hits. Now I think that sabers should be one hit kills when you run out of dp for obvious reasons but if people think that's a tad too much then you could always just up the damage on it a small bit.
razorace Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 The cause of this effect that the character's DP regenerates fairly freqently. The result is a bunch of "half" hits where DP absorbs some or most of the hit while still showing it as an impact on the player's body/armor.
Sushi_CW Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I've also been bothered by my saber bouncing off an opponent's skin. Would it be possible to make it so that in this case, a dodge animation plays instead? So if you hit someone with enough DP to make it a partial hit, the defender would take partial damage and do the dodge animation. I think that would be less distracting.
razorace Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 The Dodge animation should be playing even for partial hits. The only time you wouldn't do the Dodge animaton at all would be when the player doesn't have any Dodge at all. And in that case, they should probably just die.
