Rufio
Alright, its been a week and i'm back to teach you amateurs some culture this week im not going to bother with a cd review, because i have something so much more important to tell you all. Concert Review: Teen Idols/Anti-Flag/Less than jake and.......NEW FOUND GLORY last night was my long awaited 4th time seeing new found glory, it was not at the usual venue that i am ever so accustomed to, but at a different place called the web theater. well my first impression of the web theater was "holy shiznit this place looks huge, ther better be standing room and not any seats" well i was right and wrong. it was not as big as i had thought and ther were both standing room and seats (two levels) after waiting outside for an hour and a half (had to get ther eearly, i mean its NFG!) i was first into the place, i bought my anti-flag shirt, and raced to the front of the stage where i secured the best standing position in the whole place. after the show started, and the teen idols came on (how put on an awesome opening act) i found that i was being used as a pit shield for this hottie who i thought was about 19 or so, man was i wrong (ill explain about that later). teen idols finished their set, and anti-flag came on, who totally rocked the place. their first song "**** police brutality" made all of the security guards a little nervous, and i thought thta was really funny. they played all of the songs i wanted them to including new kind of army, and die for your government(thats ****). and they finished it off with some new songs off of their up coming record. well the moment had arrived, NFG was about to come on stage, and i had THE spot. they all came out and started the show off with the first song off of their newest album, and from there they continued to totally 0wn the place for the next half hour. they played "eyesore" "hit or miss" "golory of love" and many other power tracks, all except "so many ways" which i was disappointed not the hear, but hey they are wtil the GREATEST. (more about nfg at the end) less than jake came on with their famous skull dude messing around on stage and they put on the best show that i have seen from them in 3 years. i was suprised that they only played a few songs off their new "boarders and boundries" cd, but that was what i wanted so i was happy. they played more old stuff, and that was awesome. the one song i wanted them to play, the did, "my own flag", and it was amazing. they finished and like usuall came back 3 min later for the encore, played 5 more songs and ended with the skull guy spitting fire all over the place. it was AWESOME. ok the show was over, my friend corey and i went back t his car about to leave. well corey had just happened to park by the back stage entrance, so what do i do?? i do what any calm and collected NFG fan would, i go back stage to look for the group. ill have to hand it to security for tying to kick me out, but i had already spotted steve (the lead guitarist) who i had met at the last show, and he recognised me. so steve takes my friend and i to the tour bus to meet the band, jordan, earnie, syrus, and chad. it was the best moment of my life, i mean ALL of them at once!!! less than jake was there too. so we just hang around ann talk for about 45 min, untill they have to hit the road to go to texas, but before that i get all of their autographs on my ticket stub from theit last show when they headlined, and LTJ gives me an autographed DUNCAN brand "less than jake" yo-yo, and earnie ball (basist) gives me his pick from the show, also autographed. long story short (heh, too late for that) i made the mother load of NFG/LTJ memorabilia, and im the happies kid in the world, just starting spring break. oh yeah, the chick i was hitting on....funny story. this guy comes back with water for her like mid NFG, and im like, oh great i was hitting on this dudes girlfriend, so we start talking. turns out that she was NOT 19, but like 25, and HE was the volley ball coach from a school in my district, talk about wierd. this guy is a teacher and he was rockin out right next to me, and I HIT on his 25 year old girlfriend. oh man, thats rich. final thought, BEST CONCERT EVER. ------------------ Stop pretending that you don't want me. Guest murta
Man sounds sweet. Wish I had took the chance - I had MXPX and Less Than Jake sitting in the tour bus outside before a show and I didn't do anything, except get a wave. DAMN. Plus my retard friends were actually sitting next to MXPX and LTJ while a backup band was playing and they didn't realize who they were! Plus my other buddy managed to meet all the MXPX guys and got them all to sign At The Show for him. Never mind, I WILL try my hardest to get Link 80 and Lost Prophets autographs. Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake are coming back soon, so i'll punce on thos guys this time round. Sounds like an amazing show and night.................................................lucky sonnuva...
