need help :(

Hey! This is my first post, and I'm asking why ever since I loaded the game whenever I click on the multiplayer option, it comes up with exactly "jk2mp.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" Then is askes me wether I wish to send an error report.

 

I know that might not help much, but I really want to get back playing again.

 

P.S I checked whether my firewall was the cause, it seems not.

#1: Go to your jk2mp.exe

 

#2: Right click it and then click "properties" at the bottom

 

#3: Click the "Compatibility" tab

 

#4 Check the box that says "Run this program in Compatibility mode" and select Windows 98 from the dropdown box.

 

#5: Click "Apply" and "Ok" and then try running JK2MP again and see if it works.
