Rogue-7
Hello! I was wondering if it's possible to extract the movies out of the game and turn them into viewable clips? I found a bunch of mpegs but they can't be viewed in WMP and i can't convert them either (I use Blaze Media). Is there a codec I can download or use to view them or somehow convert them? Thanks! The movies are found in the movies folder within the game folder, and are in Bink (*.bik) format. You can play them with the Bink Video Player in Rad Game Tools. Rogue-7
That's great!! Thank you, stoffe! I tried using gameplay recorders but they never recorded the movies. This works perfectly though. What about those other mpegs i found what are they? i.e. "tat_m17af_loc" is there any way i can view those as well? Hmm, the only tat_m17af_loc file I can find is tat_m17af_loc.mod, which isn't an mpeg file file, but rather a data archive containing the lip-sync files for the dialog in the Tatooine Cantina. Where did you find those files?
Rogue-7
Hmm, the only tat_m17af_loc file I can find is tat_m17af_loc.mod, which isn't an mpeg file file, but rather a data archive containing the lip-sync files for the dialog in the Tatooine Cantina. Where did you find those files? the path is C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR\lips i'm not too good with computers, but the files were labeled MPEG so i assumed they were video but i could be wrong! i guess i thought they might be the in-game movies with the moving characters, which could very well be since they are lip-sync files. is there anyway to view them? and thank you for your help! Those are not mpeg files, they are .MOD files that contain lipsync data for the game's dialogs. Each file contains the lipsync files for the similarly named module in the game. Turn on showing of file extensions and you should see that the names of those files ends with .mod. It's most likely just your file associations that have been set to some MPEG playing application for files with a .mod extension. This extension is used for multiple types of files of completely different type.
