Problem on Korriban

While playing kotor I, When I try to leave the academy in order to enter the Valley of the dark lords for the first time, you get a cutscene with 2 sith soldiers and 3 secs later the game crashes. Korriban is my last planet. I would be grateful for any help in trying to resolve this.

Well this is very funny.I get the same error.The cut scene with 2 sith soldiers and then the game crashes.And no problems before that.I hope somebody will find the solution

 

Edit: Well i just read another forum on the exact same crash.Nobody posted the solution.I bet you have wotor mod installed just like me.It probably has somethink to do with the mod.Or maybe it has somethink to do with the-where you kill calo the nord .If you do not kill calo on korriban but before, the problem appears when you try to leave the sith base.

 

Edit 2: I hope there is someone that can help us both, because i just dont wonna play the game from the begining.And this bug only happens when you try to leave the sith base, the rest of the game works fine for me.

 

I have reinstalled the game, installed all my mods back and its the same story.That cutscene is somehow buggy.

I have not yet resolved it myself. As for the wotor_1.1.rar mods, I removed them, but being utterly inept, I have no idea how to find the backup archive to restore the original files to the override folder/directory.

 

Perhaps someone can shed some light on my ignorance, and tell me how to restore the original files w/o reinstalling the whole game.

 

If I do reinstall the whole game, do I need to reinstall all the updates/patches as well?

You cant restore the original files without reinstalling the whole game.You restore them only by reinstalling the game.But if you want to use your previous save game, you have to install mods again, or the save game, wont work because it is associated with the mods that were previously installed..But i dont really think that mods are the problem.I think that the game itself is somehow buggy.Mods were tested and proven bug free.If you kill Calo Nord on Korriban, outside the sith acedemy then there is no problem.If you kill him somewhare else, on another planet for example, and if you than go to Korriban and try to leave the sith base the bug appears.

I hope somone else can confirm that.I hope there is some brainac that knows how to fix this problem.

I have resolved the problem with exiting the sith academy on korriban. I think this will help you too. You need to get two files from T7 which he has provided as upgrades. Download upgrades1.0_to_1.02.rar and upgrades_1.02_to_1.03.rar . It is this *latter* file (upgrades_1.02_to_1.03.rar) that resolves our conflict on korriban. Woopsy, Thanks for finding that shem. Ok I edited my files and here is 1.02 to 1.03 patch the only thing this rar includes are the 3 utc bandon utc files.

To install, extract the files and copy and paste them over the same files in your override folder.

 

The problem is, for you and for me because of the way we've played the game, Darth Bandon should be standing between those two men when we exit the sith academy. With T7's 1.02 to 1.03 patch, that problem is resolved!

 

I admire all the modders here; because when they learn of conflicts with their mods, they do all within their power to help you resolve them. These folk here are awesome!
