The Anti-Aircraft guns chew them up too easily. Best thing for Platforms is to go around on foot as a rifleman, then you get the most action out of it. However - The AA-Gun can get you when you get across the bridge so be careful. Keep some concussion grenades handy My favorite time of use for a Dropship would be using it to drop troops off behind enemy lines on Geonosis.
