To add a new portrait to your party member.

Well, what you do is, need the .utc file for the char yer trying to edit. Than you open it in K-GFF editor, and look at the value listed on Appearance_Type. Write that number down. Now, open KoTOR Tool. You'll need a portraits.2da file, either extract it with KoTOR Tool, or if you have one already, and open the 2DA editor and open the portraits.2da file. Now what you do is, on the bottom, add a new row. Put the row number, and on the baseresref tab, put type the name of portrait you want to use, minus the .tga extension. Next to that, add the sex, 0 for female, 1 for male. Next to that, type the appearance value you wrote down earlier. After that, put the value for the race, I usually just put 6. Put **** for inanimatetype tab, 0 for plot, and ****'s under the next few, until you get to the forpc tab, it's not your pc, it's a party member, so put a 0, than the rest of the tabs get ****'s.

If you already have the party member, all you need to do now is open KSE, and change the portrait under the NPC's section.

This is probably a bit messy as instructions go but I literally just figured this out myself a few hours ago. But it should work, it did for me, I had to add the portrait for Mendah in Achilles Jedi Council Mod. GL!
