[Req] Quick Model Edit

Hey there everyone, I just recently installed Kotor again and decided to check for mods and I must say I was quite happy to see the community was still alive.

 

So I started downloading a mod here and there, and as usual ended up with quite a lot of them.

 

What really caught my attention though, was the NPC Default Clothing as Armor by Darth Balatro.

 

I thought it was quite an original , if simple, idea since I seldom used the original clothes of most characters.

 

However I started remembering the default clothes and thought again ... So I Decided to start editing the clothes (which, for the most part weren't that bad, just not what I'd call a good selection of colors).

 

However, I'm stumped. I took a shot at most characters, but when I started skinning Bastila, I suddenly noticed a couple of "Loose banners" hanging from her shoulders which I hadn't noticed before. I tried to alpha them out, but it seems it's a common texture and it will cause light spots all over the place.

 

------I am unable to take a screenshot of Kotor. I've googled it but nothing came up, I'm on vista, all I get is a black screen, even with Compatibility on. Is there a fix for this?-------

I have no idea as to the number of vertices implied in this , but If it were simple and easy , please cut it up to where it becomes part of the body model itself, If it won't cause transparency, or as close as possible to it If it will.

 

I've never modeled , so I just hope this is an easy task. If It'll take more than 3-5 mins, I'll just leave them be.

Could've sworn I'd added the tags, hence the .th . Thanks for pointing it out. xD

 

I won't add them now though, so as not to clutter the thread, although it seems there's no modelers around.

 

Wouldn't know how to fix the SS bug by any chance would you?

You could try delete those vertices, but sometimes it changes the bone assignment, so if you get problems with her movement instead of deleting them you could make it very, very small and place inside her body to hide it.

 

Edit: hmmm... the flaps has flex modifiers, which means we can not use Mdlops to compile back but Taina's Replacer, and we can not delete the vertices, only hide them. On the other hand I get the bone assignment all wrong for her legs when I import the body model into GMax.

It seems like Kotor can interpret the Bone assigment just fine, I've moved around a bit, can't get see any glitches though.

 

I'm going to try and see If I get a screenshot using Fraps.
