ATMachine Posted May 28, 2008 Share Posted May 28, 2008 Actually I could tell when the trailer first came out that the flag was intended to be there--it's a 48-star flag, which hasn't been used in America since 1959. It's highly unlikely that CGI artists would get that detail accurate (they couldn't even get the width of Indy' shirt pocket flaps right when they CG'd out the Russians' guns for the US trailers). Still I'm not surprised that the flag was removed for the international ads--I suspect that in certain places it would invite spontaneous booing.
