VadersHand
I've had a pretty easy time aquainting myself with modding KOTOR, doing basics like making a custom module, reskining, item creation, etc... I've hit an obstacle. I know how to make a conversation and attatch it to an NPC, so i've decided to take it one step further and add sound and lip sync. Using the KOTOR tool conversation editor, i placed the sound 'n_gsel2_quem' in the appropriate res ref and found a cooresponding voice over (in this case the 'nm26aashae12029_' , used in the dialog with shaelas on manaan), however I quickly realized that using this VO did not animate appropriately. I've tried following some of the concepts in the 'adding lypsync to custom dialog' tutorial found here, but all of my attempts to copy and create a custom lip file have failed. I get the feeling I am making this much harder than it really is... is there a much more streamline way to adding lipsync to generic alien dialog? Stream
Hey there, I had this same problem, the lip files have to be in the .mod file or override folder to work, here's my original post http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=185079 --Stream
VadersHand
Thanks, but quick question: what if i am in a custom-made module? In this case, it is the swoop platform. where exactly do I place the .lip files? I understand that it is module spacific, so do I need to create a .mod for the lip files and save them under the same name as the module? thanks for you help! EDIT: nevermind, i experiemented with it a little and worked it out. thanks again!
