Some of you may have been on Unichat, a very similar chat program, well if you liked Unichat, you'll love this! ChatPOP has been around for over four years now, but the user list is starting to lack, and this is where you come in - this program needs your support, and all I'm asking you to do is to become a user and use it now and again! WHAT IS IT? -------------------- It's not VRML...it's a totally new unique chat engine! ChatPOP! is a 2D chat with many avatars, rooms, emotions and sounds. No, this isn't one of those flat-avatar programs such as Palace, where you simply drag your avatar around. On ChatPOP! you move your detailed avatar around in the many rooms ChatPOP! has to offer. You can make your avatar sit down, doze (brb) and stand up to walk about. Along with this are five emotions, including: cry, laugh and mad. You can also open your own room and choose it's background from the list, go to and customize your own home, invite your ChatPOP! buddies over to your house for a party, add users to your friends list, host rooms, kick users out, private message, ignore a user, and much much more. It's a goldmine of chat fun, and I advise you to at least try it once. And what's another great addition to it's great features? It's all free! Yes, you can register your own ID with password and profile, chat as much as you want all FREE! NOTE: ChatPOP! does NOT work with Windows2000, sorry! WHAT NOW? --------- Whilst you're download the program, you'll need to register an ID for ChatPOP! Simply go to this page: http://www.hellopop.com/ENGLISH/users/User_insert.htm Fill out the quick form and once you've downloaded you're ready for the next stage! Registration tips and info 1/Think of a good password! 2/Think of a name others probably won't have, as there are 1000s of users already signed up - yours might be taken! Just keep trying for an ID 3/No, the avatar you select isn't your permenant avatar, it can be changed when you login to ChatPOP! or at any time. 4/Yes, registration is free and you don't have to wait for a confirmation e-mail or wait any time. Simply sign up and login on ChatPOP. OK, I'VE DOWNLOADED NOW WHAT? ------------------------------ Downloaded it? Ok. Follow these instructions: 1.After you finish downloading ChatPOP setup file, go to your local directory that contains the ChatPOP Setup file. 2.Double click on the Setup file Icon to install it to your hard disk. 3.Double click on the aliased ChatPOP icon from your desktop. 4.Type in your ID and password. 5.Wait about five seconds for it to login.
