evox Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 omg, a clan named JoF is hacking our server, and i dont know what to do. there doing it for one reason, they dont like me. We cant be a clan without a server, and when ever it is up, they fill it with bots, making it unplayable. I came here to see if someone could ither talk to them, or...idk. Weve tried everything. Plz help
Mikouen Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Check the IPs the bots use, and ban them. Change all your RCON and admin passwords, and be careful who you give them to. Make them complex and not guessable. Look at the various security patches available over on JKFiles, and try those out. This isn't actually "hacking" at all, it's a simple bit of technical trickery which is equally simple to stop.
Tx606 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Make sure that in your server.cfg sv_allowdownload is turned off ( on 0).. Also, be carefull who you give the passwords to, and make them hard (include numbers).
