Gavroche
Hello there, I was messing with spells.2da and before going further, I figured I'd ask those who know more than me: spells.2da has distinct columns for each "spell-casting" class, the purpose of these columns being to define at which level each class is able to gain one power (though in both KotOR's, all classes have the same numbers for one power). How would you, for example, make Force Wave available for Consulars at level 12 and for Guardians at level 16? I guess it's obvious that you'd just have to change the corresponding cases in Force Wave's row from 15 to 12 and 16, but what I'm unsure about is the "inate" column. What must I put there? I've read tk102's tutorial, but it doesn't cover this case IIRC. Thanks in advance for your help
dholm
I am fairly certain the 'Inate' column won't affect the other classes. I'd say you can safely ignore it. While the only editing I've done in that area modified all the classes to the same level, I see no reason why it wouldn't work.
Gavroche
Alright, just tested it, and did as you said - ignored the inate column, which in Force Wave's case meant leaving it to 15. It works just fine - my Consular has been able to gain this power at level 12, while my Guardian had to wait until level 16 to acquire it. Now of course I'd still need to edit the Power's description, as it's written in dialog.tlk rather than generated from spells.2da. Thanks for the advice, dholm!
