JO and JA Error During Savegame

I play Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy on Singeplayer, but i've noticed that in both sometimes when i reach a new level, I get a message at the start saying this: "Error during savegame-rename. Check 'saves/auto.sav' for write-protect or disk full!" As I said this happens in both games and when it does happen the top save can never be erased even when I press the deleted button over and over. I find that I always have to go into the JA or JO save folders and click on combatability files and theres two other saves in there as well, if i delete the compatability ones and go back into the game, its fine. But it later happens again. And i constantly have to go back and delete the compatability files over and over. Does anyone know how to stop this Savegame-rename error thing?
