Raptor660
I'm running on a 64 bit Windows Vista Ultimate os on a laptop. I love grim fandango and really wanted to play it. I am aware that the installer that comes with the game wont work on 64 bit, so I downloaded Ben Gorman's installer and setup. The game works, but about every 5-10 minutes the game's sound crashes (either completely goes away or just repeats the same half-second of sound over and over and over again), and if you leave it like this it will just freeze all together. I figured I'd just play through it, whatever...but when I get to the petrified forest and have to synchronize the pumps on the tree to use as shocks for the bonewagon, it freezes EVERY time and I cannot get past it. Can anyone help me? I emailed ben but havent got a response yet. I am DESPERATE to play this game...and its making me wish I hadnt bought a 64 bit. I installed every patch available, and still it does the same thing. I even completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled it with bens launcher, and it STILL wont work. Any ideas? Please help! this game is honestly the most fun game I've ever played and I'd hate to never play it again just because I have an uncompatible os
