How to change character's inventory, weapons etc

How do I do it? I want to edit a few characters inventory and other little things. How do I do it and how do I save it? Or do I not use KOTOR tool. What do I use.

You use KOTOR Tools to do this. Expand the BIFs tree, then templates.bif, then Blueprint Character. Locate the file in question and double-click it to open it. You can make all the changes you want there then save it into your Override folder and load up a savegame before that character joins you and the changes should be there.
