how can i combine items?

how can i combine items from my inventory. i have to let the owner of the prostheses palace smell at my hankey, but he tells me the odour isn's strong enough. and when i smell it, it says that the hankey smells like fish and flowers and some other stuff. but anyways, i have some rotten bait (from the bait shoppe) and a flower (from the foreboding mansion) and i thought i'll have to combine those. but i can't figure out how.

 

can anyone tell me how to do that?!?

 

or maybe i just have to cure the men from the prostheses palace from his cold, so he can smell right again. but i have no id how. so if that's the case, maybe someone can give me a little hint?

You have to spray him with a mixture and it has to be from a type of container. Have you found one?

hmm, i already had found the container as a matter of fact, but now my mixture doesn't yet smell like 'hamster bedding' and i don't know how to solve that. i have some wood shavings in my inventory, but i don't remember where i got those from. and i can't use em with anything.

 

i'm stuck again !!!
