Act one the ship

Ive done everthing im supposed to in act one yet i cant get the boat - i lack authority go to the mansion yet cant talk to elaine, can anyone help? i have even restarted again and still she dosnt talk bout it

You can't enter the Mansion as long as that maniac is using his catapult!

i said i have done everything else (including get rid of caterpult, got crew, got navigator) all i want is the ship now but all the walkthroughs say talk to elaine but it just says some sarcy comment when i try to talk to her!!!!!!

You can't have done everything otherwise you wouldn't need a Hint

Have Carla and Otis told you what they need in order to be crew members?

Have you looked for it?

if ure talking bout the cushy jobs then yes! i have done everything it said in the walk through when i re-did it! do u have any helpful ideas - maybe any way of talking to the boat lady any order of conversation?

The "boat lady" doesnt give out a boat to just anyone, she needs something to show that you are of government material........

I don´t remember the next lines but somewhere you can say:

-I don´t have the auhtority to get a ship

then elaine will give you the goverment seal

when i try to talk to elain ie using the use/talk key it just says nah i think there was something in our marraige vows about that - it doesnt even try to talk to her

they didnt understand it but it said cushy and they say they will meet guybrush when he gets a boat was that supposed to help elaine talk??

i looked for CUSHY contract (found by china) handed it to elaine she signed it (cant recall what she said - it wasnt anything bout a boat) and gave it to carla and otis.

Can u tell me how to get elain to talk to me about the BOAT? thats all i want to do, as ive said before ive followed the walkthrough and the only thing it wont do is for elaine to TALK ABOUT THE BOAT

Look in your inventory to see if she gave you an item called the 'Gubernatorial Seal'. or something like that. You have to give that item to the lady at the harbor.

i have spoken with the harbour mistress and i know what she wants (proof) i go back to elaine (everything else done and everyone else spoken to) and try to talk to her and it says the sarky comment and he wont talk to her. Does she automatically talk or do u have to stand somewhere or what - ive redo the whole thing a couple of times. please tell me exactly what ye did when ye enter the mansion after talking to the boat lady and how ye stand etc....
