Ok, im just not getting this whole "mimic yourself" thing at the gate, i always get thrown back to where i started... ack, im sooo confused, someone help

Write down the exact sequence when you arrive. What is said, given to you etc.

Next time you arrive to the gate, check your notes and reverse the order.

Don't forget the ID number!

1: Guybrush gives you stuff, write down the order.

2: Choose Talk to Guybrush, write down the number.

3: Open the gate.

4: Look at your directions and follow them. (DON'T, repeat, DON'T go through the gate)

5: When you meet your past self, do exactly the same stuff as future self did.

Compare the time on your screen with the corresponding time on your notes.

And Dave gave you a note with the directions to Pegnose Pete?

If the time on that note doesn't correspond with the clock, then reload an earlier game and spray Deadeye Dave again. Hopefully it will work when he gives you a new note.
