Curse Of Monkey Island help

Ok, i know this is escape from monkey isnald, but i need help with the curse of monkey island

 

Ok, you need a ship to get to blood island, right? you need to get rid of the first mate and the captian....well i got rid of the first mate, but the ape-captian is still there. how do i get him to leave??

yes, i have a crew, i got them at that barber shop....that bill guy, the english--like one, and that scotish one...have them all!

I have both. I got one of that guys back, and the other i found in the captian's cabin.
