Installed EMI makes everything else crash!

I installed the full version of EMI this morning on my computer at work. I rebooted because it prompted me to, and on the bootup other things in my startup crashed. I figured it was a fluke, rebooted again, and this time more programs in my startup crashed. I ended up rebooting into safe mode and uninstalling the game, and when I rebooted into normal mode everything was fine again. The exact same thing also happened to a friend of mine on his home computer. Any ideas??
