Gameplay issues

Guybrush has a tendency to run amok at times, without pressing the run button.

 

I am currently playing this game using a sidewinder gamepad.

 

I have the analog joystick option disabled in the options window. I have also tried enabling it, however, it doesn't help.

 

Any ideas on how to correct this problem??

Possible Patch???

 

Please help me because I really like this game, but the sporatic running is ruining the gameplay.

I have that same thing happen to me. It only happens when press the arrow button about twice quickly, then hold it. I actually like that feature. It allows me not to hold shift all the time.

Ummm I am using a gamepad and not the Keyboard????

use the keyboard if the gamepad doesnt work, thought that would be a small sacrafice to play a MI game.

I have not 1 but 2 similar problems. Firstly, one where he doesn't stop running if I press up once. Oh, I am using the keyboard here by the way. With the joypad plugged in he continuously edges forward slightly, as if someone was pressing forward repeatedly, making it hard to control, with the keyboard. Without the joypad plugged in, he starts running continuously when I tap forward. What the hell is happening here. Could it me something wrong with my keyboard perhaps, or the joypad (not that I use it), or could it be the software???
