Game Locks up at the beginning of the game

Game locks up at the beginning of the game. I can hear the sound, but cannot do anything but restart the computer (CTRL-ATL-DEL does not even work). What is weird is that it's the only game that doesn't work.

 

- I have patched the game to 1.1

- I have used both OpenGL and D3D at 16 or 32 bits.

 

- I have re-installed the game (full and minimum)

 

- I have used a NO CD Crack just to make sure that it's not my CD ROM drive.

 

- I have disabled the SBLive 16 Emulation

 

- I have updated all my drivers (Video card, motherboard (VIA Chipset) and sound card (SbLive Value).

 

I have a P3 700, with an ASUS 7700 Deluxe (GeForce 2 GTS 32 MB of ram)

My CD-ROM Drive is a Creative Labs (52X)

I have a 12 gig HD

 

This is driving me insane. Really. I need your advice people.
