Struebs Posted February 11, 2001 Posted February 11, 2001 In some buildings when Guybrush talks to people or just looks around the room, there is no appearance of text when he talks or does it show what he could say. Please help me figure out what is wrong.
Rufio Posted February 11, 2001 Posted February 11, 2001 this is a common problem, u need to have the latest drivers for your video card, and directx 8, and then run the game in d3d mode, everything sould be fine after that
CowGirl Posted March 3, 2001 Posted March 3, 2001 Our solution was as follows: (First note that we did indeed update our Direct X to 8.0a and also updated our video card drivers, but the problem remained!) Press F1 to open the game menu. Choose Options. Choose Alter Gee Wiz Factor Set Misc. Video Effects to None That resolved our problem of not seeing the dialog text. Good luck.
