Swamp Gate

I am at the gate in the swamp and all guybrush does is throw the stick in the water and pick it up.

 

I already downloaded the patch, but it makes no difference, even after loading a previous game, he still just plays with the stick.

 

Does anyone know what to do?

Yes, I received them from the blind guy, three times. It didn't work any of the three times. . .

I also have the clock, and I have talked to myself. I just can't do anything at all on the raft, even then. . .

Well if you've talked to the other Guybrush, then you've been given all that stuff from him. Talk to him again.

Well I would, but when I do, Guybrush decides to throw his stick in the water.

 

But unlike when he first approached the gate, this time he decides to pick it up again. Then he throws the stick down, and picks it up again.

 

My guybrush says nothing, even when I tell him to. It is a quiet conversation I assure you.

 

If I repeat the command, guybrush does this trick of his again. I was told to get the patch, but I already have it, and I already installed it.

 

I actually tried to install it again after that, but it wouldn't do it.

Here are two more suggestions.

 

1. Use the Uninstall option in the Menu and uninstall EMI but answer "Yes" to the question if you want to keep the saved games. Then reinstall.

 

2. If you use a Joystick/Gamepad then physically disconnect it and try if using only the keybord can solve the problem.(You have to reconfigure in the options)
