Retexturing a new Sith Mask

Hello Modders and artists!

ZimmMaster over at kotor.filefront made a really cool texture for his Revan mask for KOTOR 1. Thank you ZimmMaster!

However, the texture, but not the .uti, overwrites the original 'Sith Mask' made by Bioware.

I would like to make a new unique mask item with his .tga texture which, of course, uses the Bioware 'Sith Mask' model without overwriting the Bioware texture.

I already created a .uti file for my new mask (ii_mask_084.uti) and extracted all the files for the original Bioware mask:

g_i_mask14.uti

i_mask_013.mdl

i_mask_013.mdx

I_Sithmask.tga

ii_mask_013.tga

I also downloaded MDLOps and Gmax/NWMAX (if they are needed).

It seems to me that I just need to rename the .mdl and .mdx files to i_mask_084 (and change model variation in the .uti to 84) and somehow tell them to recognize ZimmMaster's .tga texture which I renamed I_Sithmask84.tga, but I don't know how and can't figure it out from all the tutorials that I read, there is no 'Texture Variation' field in mask files. Also, will renaming the icon file to ii_mask_084 make it show up in game as well, or is there a separate process for the icon too.

Please help. And Thank You.
