Guest Merek Of Nexsis
OK, I may be being a noob here but I would like to see more advanced waypoints put into the game. I remember C&C RA2 and TS that had a great waypoint system. You could map out a route and your guys would follow it to the letter allowing for easy co-ordination of multi-pronged attacks on the enemy. Also, if you connected the two ends of the waypoint trial you established a patrol route. Now the patrol in SWGB from the demo sucks. I mean for me it is no use being able to walk between two points. I want my troopers to be able to walk the perimeter of my base and take on whatever strikes my base from any angle. Surely this would make the game more fun and allow for more strategic style? Your thoughts please..
Guest porkins14
Dude, you are comparing a demo to complete games. Gauranteed the complete version has patrol commands. I gaurantee it. In the bottom left corner of the demo you see a box with a bunch of empty circles. In the game that is full of commands like patrol, guard, formattions, etc. You must not be using waypoints right, as they are very effective if you use them correctly. You should check out Age of Empires, as this game is built of the same enngine and will have all of those strategic commands
AoErat
1. Holding shift while placing waypoints will let you place more than one. You can do extremely complex waypoint systems if you want. 2. If you use waypoint in conjunction with patrolling( ie click patrol, hold shift, mark places) you can achieve the effect you wanted.
