guybrush5000
You should make it so you can control the boat when you sail to different islands, so you can go to all the islands. There was only one bad thing about Monkey Island 4, and it is that you didn't get to go to all the islands, one of them is Pinnepenny and you never go to that one in the other 3 games. guybrush5000
brief
It really depends on what LucasArts wants to do with the game... In EMI, since we had to have a navigator, it was up to the navigator to.. well, navigate the ship for us. As such, we had no control of the ship. In this way, LucasArts got to control which islands we were able to visit, and in what order. Doing so makes programming easier for them. In CMI, we did get to have some control of the ship, which was mainly for the purposes of training for insult sword fighting. Unfortunately, in graphics adventure games like the Monkey Island series, the major events have to be quite linear, in order to keep a coherent storyline, so it's unlikely that they will give us such free reign as it is to be able to any island that we please. ------------------ "Cheerleaders are dancers who have gone retarded." --Sparky Polastri, Bring It On
