KOTOR 2 Appearance Mod Trouble

Hi folks!

 

First time poster so go easy on me

 

I'm a longtime fan of the KOTOR series so naturally I've had a lot of experience playing the games with mods but I can't for the life of me figure out what's going wrong with my appearance mods.

 

I'm trying to play KOTOR 2 and literally every other mod BUT appearance mods are working. Did something happen with the compatibility between these mods and the Restored Content Mod? I Have the latest one installed. I know there is something you have to do with the appearance.2da files right?

 

Also, is anyone else noticing that since Filefront went down it's nearly impossible to find all the good appearance mods? I founds a bunch on Gamefront but their all corrupted and won't extract to the override folder.

Welcome to Lucasforums, it's great seeing someone new and fresh having enthusiasm for KOTOR Modding!

 

Hmm, what is the issue with the appearances? I take it that when you try and use a disguise or set a characters appearance to what you want it crashes the game? If not please elaborate the issue.

 

There are a lot of large mods that will conflict due to it's enormity so what mods do you currently have installed? Please if you can list the mods download order, If you can... Hopefully may help more to find the exact issue/s.

 

Also, on another note there are some great mods that can be found at Deadlystream, Nexus mods, moddb. (I'll post links when I get back home from work if you still need them). In regards to Filefront, I've posted a cheeky tutorial on how to get around the issue of not being able to download files on another post:

I've never posted on a forum before, so it's good to be met such a friendly "face".

 

I realized after posting that I definitely needed to elaborate, lol. My game is running smooth as butter. No crashes or bugs whatsoever. When I say the appearance mods aren't working I meant to say just that, they won't show up in the game whatsoever. Any sort of appearance mod for the main character will not show up. Specifically I'm trying to create that sick looking Red female Twi'lek with the Darth Maul like tattoos.

 

I have a lot of mods installed, what's the best way to get you access to what I can see? Youtube video? email you a copy of my override?
