Prosthetic nose?

I'm at the end of act one, and I've shown the loot, screw, and handkerchief to inspector Canard. But he says that they aren't sufficient evidence to clear my name. He says I need Pete's prosthetic nose. Where is the nose?

You won't actually be able to SEE the nose, but the nose will make its presence subtly known if you do the right 'thing'.
