Another disappointing thing about SWGB Demo

One thing I'm a little bit disappointed about SWGB are its bombers. I don't like the idea that the bomber just hover over its targets and bombs it. I played Total Annihilation (TA) in it hey day and I liked the way they handled the way their bombers bombed their targets. They would fly in and lay down a line of bombs like you would see B-52's do. If you did it right you can bomb more than one target, if they had building lined up. In Star Wars you never saw the Y-wings or the Tie bombers hover over its target.

I love the game and this won't deter me from buying it, but I would like a better bombing system. What are your commets about the bombing? Do you like it the way it is or do you have another suggestion.

True, I, and a lot of others are not entirely happy with the way the aerial units just hover, but alas we must live with it :(

its indeed a shame they cant follow TA's example and have moving air units. TA was a fantastic game and the star wars mod was incredible....but this will be amazine as well.........every game has its problems...... TA had some problems i hope lots buy it so that it will be a long lifed game. oh well better make the most of wot we have in the air.......

Don't fret yet. If the game is successful there will be not doubt, in my mind, that there will be an expansion pack. And because the art is locked, according to Garry Gaber, an expansion pack would be the only way to change that. I think it would look great either way. Oh and TA was a different game engine so don't expect the AOK engine to deliver the same results when its aiming for a whole different goal.
