Leaving for Leadership Academy

I had a co-worker (he was recently fired) that is in the army reserve. He's the communication guy of his squad. He told me cool and wierd stories like the radio blowing up taking along you if it isn't grounded and the enemy sends a powerful jaming signal. He also told me that if you put the radio at the high power frequency you could take a light buld and hold it in the air and it would lit up a bit (you have to be close to the radio of course).
