Thanks. Which GK games was that? I know I got loads of books free with loads of games, especially Sierra On-Line adventure titles and old stuff like Stone-Keep. I think that second video GK one had a book, i can't remember though
murta Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 Ah right, I think it was GK2 That I've got/had. There was some other Sierra adventure I had called Chiller or something that you got a book with
raVen_image Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 There was a box set of the first 2 GK games that came with a novelization of "Sins of the Fathers", the first game's storyline. Written by Jane Jensen (principal writer of the GK games) and distributed through Penguin Books and ROC Fantasy in 1996, the novel was based on the game, not the other way around. I have heard that there are novels for the other two games-- The Beast Within and Blood of the sacred, Blood of the Damned, but I have not seen them, personally and don't know if they were ditributed through the same publisher. I have also read (from Jane, herself) that there will be a novel for the aborted 4th game, but that may only be a pipe dream. It's too bad that the 4th game wasn't produced. These were some of the best written adventure games that I have ever played. They are complex stories that combine actual historical events and mythologies with her brand of horror. They fall into the must-play category.
