Am I the only one with this problem? I hate this bug. Eating up my ore and nova ( to buy the ore of course) This has never happened to me. Some things to check out in a few test games: 1. Do pre-built walls remain intact? For example, the "Arena" random map starts everyone out with some nice walls and gates. Try playing on that map for a while. See if the walls remain in place or not. They certainly should not disappear. 2. Go into the scenario editor. Generate a regular old (boring) random map of any type. Place some walls for Player 1. See if they remain there. If they do, place a substantial amount of them, then play the scenario out for a while against the computer. See if the walls remain or if they vanish. 3. Make sure you have a unit in sight of the wall. Sometimes in the original AoE I used to get hot and bothered, and I'd stupidly tell a builder to build a wall or a tower in the "fogged" area (the part you explored but can't currently see). Little did I realize there was an enemy unit there, and as soon as he saw the "pre building" tower or wall image show up, he'd destroy it. So if you are building in the fogged areas, that could be causing it to. If you're not building in fog, and if you can't replicate the behavior except when you actively build a wall during the game, then it sounds like a really strange bug. You probably should report it. Personally I would uninstall and reinstall the game.
