Guest Nitro2
This is Nitro... It won't let me post here or at XWA, so I created a new name... I would like to start by saying that nothing in this post is to be interpreted as a sick joke, pun, or other such stuff. When I heard about you leaving, my very first thought was not-quite-happiness, but then I got to thinking about all the crap that we've been through... The Stallions, your old Navy habits, all the joking insults we flung back and forth at each other all the time, all the late nights where I stayed up till 6 AM talking with the guys, and we'd be here to greet you when you woke up... And I realized that we were losing one of the best things that ever happened to the forum... I remember when I first met you you were the almighty ruler of the RS.Net forums, unknown to all, a mystery, who never mingled with the forumers except to expend some of his godly advice... Then you met me... the partially psychotic young man... Who brought you down to earth... And you've never been the same since... I'm not trying to say I've influenced you... I think that it's a case of you influencing me... When we were on speaking terms, we were unseperable... And lets not forget all those theological sessions on ICQ. I know I've been kind of a "Richard" lately, but being a mod ment a lot to me... I mean at the time, most of my friends here were mods, and me not being a mod was like being the kid who failed, and all his friends are moving on to greater things... And I'm still stuck where I am... A feeling I know all too well... But that's behind me... I've given up on the dream of being a mod... And I've come here to apologize. I'm sorry for all the crap I've flung your way, It's just that when I flip out, I Flip Out! I just don't want us to part ways as enemies... I'd like to say goodbye as a friend. I'm sick and tired of the Hatfield/McCoy feud between us... It's gone on way too long, and I'm gonna be the one to bury the hatchet... A nice quote to describe what I feel might be "...Only now, at the end, do you understand." (directed at me, of course) Well, as guildy might say... "Parting is such sweet sorrow." I'd like to finish with a song... Happy trails, to you. Until we meet again... Farewell, Lt. Guilo. You were a great enemy, but a better friend. Guest Lujayne
You are so pessimistic, R.A.V.E.N. Come on! Think happy thoughts! Oh, and by the way, FNH, in my world, "Star Wars" and "Car Tours" don't rhyme. --L. Guest The Flying Nosehair
Really? Where are you from, do they pronounce Car and Tours different over there from us Americans? Thanks for the greetings, and, trust me, for as many responses as I have gotten so far, this forum is more active than some. But I was looking at XWA, but it seemed too big and everyone was like arguing with each other. So I chose this one. ------------------ There are many factors inhibiting temptation... Guest Lujayne
Up here in the Great White North, "Tours" is said with a nice, long oooooooo sound, like "fool." Toooors. Guest The Flying Nosehair
So you pronounce the Wars in STAR WARS like: STAR WOOOOOOOOORRRSSSSS...eh? Then my comparison would work... Gives an omnious sound to the title, as well. -What's gonna happen next on STAR WOOORRRSSS??? I just can't wait for it.- So, from Canada eh, L? What province (are they called provinces?) B.C., Quebec, Manitoba, that long S word that sounds hackneyed? ------------------ There are many factors inhibiting temptation... Guest Imladil
I'm in Oregon. It's America, but we have lots of lumberjacks around. I guess that's kind of like being in Canada. ------------------ "The entire universe is simply the fractal chaos boundary between intersecting domains of high and low energy." --Imladil the Hungry "What time is it on Mars?" --Little Jimmy
Guest rebel_jediknight
Uh, Imladil, what do you mean by "lumberjacks?" I happen to live in BC and I can tell you, we really do not have many "lumberjacks" here! Guest Imladil
WHAT?!? No lumberjacks? That is just not right. I'm organizing my neighborhood to get a truckload of them together that we can send to you. Heck, here they're so thick you can't swing a chainsaw without cutting one... I hope the truckload of timberworkers arrives soon. Guest The Flying Nosehair
Isn't British Columbia more urbanized than some the other Candain provinces? ------------------ If given the choice to plan for the long run or the short run Take the long run, heck, you'll have to live that one soon enough anyway. -A quote taken from Alex Freeman, the "Flying Nosehair" in my daily life. Guest Imladil
Isn't the real issue here tree count? I mean, when I think of Canada, I visualize lots of trees. Of course, I also believe in the Easter Bunny, so take my preconceptions with a bag of salt... ------------------ "The entire universe is simply the fractal chaos boundary between intersecting domains of high and low energy." --Imladil the Wierd "What do whales think of submarines?" --Little Jimmy
Guest Lujayne
Where I live in Canada there are no native trees. All the ones we have were planted by settlers about 100 years ago. Uhh...neat huh? --L.
