Guest Corran Horn
When The Phantom Menace came out in Australia in July, I went to see it. But... It was CRAP! Bloody hell, I could pull a better movie out of my arse! Well it wasn't that bad but Return of the Jedi will always be my favourite. ------------------ Knock, knock knocking on heavens door. - Guns and Roses <Corran>

Guest Imladil
I liked the new Star Wars movie! And I really wish you wouldn't pull anything out of your arse...yuck! I though it was an imaginative look at the Star Wars universe from a point of view we haven't had before. The special effects were totally cool, and I found the depiction of Jedi warriors in combat at the height of their craft thrilling. It wasn't as easy to get into as the first Star Wars trilogy; the special effects baffle as much as accentuate these days. In that respect, it didn't have the same "legendary" flavor...but inclusive with the others, it helps set up the epic. However...I do hate Jar Jar, almost as much as I hate pikachus. If I saw him crossing the street, I would speed up and take him out with my door. He was okay for most of the movie, but he eventually got on my nerves toward the end. The movie really didn't need a clown to begin with! Anyway. I liked the movie. Deal with it. ------------------ "The entire universe is simply the fractal chaos boundary between intersecting domains of high and low energy." --Imladil the Confused "Why is the sky blue?" --Little Jimmy

Guest Fondas
Hi everybody ! I saw the first Star Wars movie (ANH) back in 1978, a year after it's realease. I was astonished ! I've been a SW fan ever since. The official premiere took place in my country 15/10 and I was there...but... In the original trilogy, Lucas had SFX serving the story-telling. In TPM it's the other way around ! If it wasn't for Liam Neeson playing that good, Qui would have been nothing than a stooge. Obi-wan's role in the other hand, was literally non-existent! All Ewan McGregor could do was running around with an angry face ! Where were the notorious clone wars, the massive Jedi Knight's fights or the huge space dogfights ? As for Jar-Jar... I don't even want to talk about IT >=( The only thing that was really good , was the final duel and John williams' epic music. I really hope that GL will make it up for us in the upcoming episodes... ------------------ "So be it ...Jedi" - Emperor Palpatine

I wan't expecting the Awe of the first ones, so I was happy. ------------------ Even if you dodge this, Kakarotto, THIS PLANET'S GOING UP IN SMOKE!! Guest Imladil
Hey...maybe we're just looking at this movie through different eyes! Now that we're adults, of course we aren't going to see this movies with the same sense of fresh wonder. Also, now that believable special efects are widespread, that sense of "Wow...! That looks REAL!" just isn't there. Remember, when Star Wars came out, the only realistic space movie to have come out before was 2001: A Space Odyssey. When I was a kid...I was right there in the cabin of the Millenium Falcon as we buckled in and took off up into the desert sky. The orbital ascent went quickly, and we were under attack from Imperial starships... Now that I'm older, and much more jaded when it comes to graphics (we don't even call them "special effects" anymore, since they're all digital), the same experience just isn't possible. Anyway. I thought Wing Commander was pretty worthless, too. I didn't pay attention enough to the credits, but that film had a heavy Russian flavor to it. Not that I disagreed with that, just that it's a little dark and serious for my tastes... My favorite sci-fi film recently: Starship Troopers. Briefly, I regained some of my sense of wonder seeing this one; it was just sad that I had to be shocked into it. But I must admit, the violence had a way of drawing me in. I'm sorry for rambling. I'll just shut up now. ------------------ "The entire universe is simply the fractal chaos boundary between intersecting domains of high and low energy." --Imladil the Culinarian "Am I in space yet?" --Little Jimmy
Guest Solo BM
My opinion about the movie is that it is a very good movie. You see more about Anakin, and how he meet Obi wan and Qui gon. I always asked myself, what was happened before episode 4, 5 and 6? Know I have some answere's. And I will be very happy if I can see episode 2 and 3 on the picture! So I don't think episode 1 is crap! It is a good movie, and I don't listen to anybody else!

Guest Imladil
I liked The Empire Strikes Back the best. Just something about my personality, I guess, but I think it's more thrilling when the good guys are losing. That, and I liked the music better. ------------------ "The entire universe is simply the fractal chaos boundary between intersecting domains of high and low energy." --Imladil the Fortunate "You can lead a horse to water, but you have to be strong and determined if you want to drown that sucker." --Little Jimmy

Guest Conor
I had always liked ROTJ the best. Then I grew up, watched the trilogy again, and much to my surprise the Empire Strikes Back was a really amazing movie. It was done way better than the other two, the character development was extremely good, and I love it now. My favorite 'moment' is still the final battle scene. I fast-forward ROTJ until I get there. ------------------ Right is right even if nobody is doing it, and wrong is wrong even if everybody is doing it. -St. Augustine
