This has been in the annals of warfare since the beginning, but it needs repeated.

 

I like drawing an enemy into a troop battle and then bring in my hidden platoon. when they go to run, my strike mechs charge from their positions in the rear. works like a charm.

Yup, this works well. Ill attack with a few units, sometimes with air, maybe a few mechs on the far side of their base. perhaps even right out in front where they made their mass defence.. then Ill sneak my mechs through or my transports full of units and deploy them right in the back of their base.
