Guest Chillin
What are Rogue Squadron's colors red and what else? Any help would be apreciated. "May the force be with you, always."
Guest Lujayne
Red and blue as far as I know...that's the colour of their unoficial crest that Gavin made, anyway. --L.
Guest Imladil
Well, all the Rogue Squadron ships I've seen in the other X-wing series games are white with red battle striping. Guest The Master
Did you even take the time to check? ------------------
Guest Lujayne
I don't need to check! I know these things! Imladil, your're wrong! Wrong! It's RED and BLUE! RED and BLUE! Fer cryin' out loud! Won't somebody think of the children!? Guest Chillin
I'm pretty sure they are actually red and gray but closs to red and white. Red and blue are the colors on the squadron's crest but not the squadron's colors. And no I didn't bother to check I can just ask you crazy people. Guest Imladil
Why bother to check? The little A-wing you see at the top of this post has the red-and-white color scheme clearly in place. I also have six model spacecraft with the same colors. I'm not even going to bother watching the movies, or playing any of the games, because I already know I'm right. So there! ------------------ "Is the state of being realized as important as realizing the state of being?" --Thrustweasel of Earth
Guest The Master
Red and white. Red and Blue. Red and Gray. DOES IT REALLY MATTER!
Guest Imladil
Well, it's not black-and-white as far as I'm concerned, so we could argue it over 'til we're blue in the face. The whole matter is a gray area, and we're in the red if we can't nail it down. My favorite color is green. Why didn't anyone say green?
Guest The Master
Okay, how about RED AND GREEN! Man this conversation is going over board! Can someone just check and confirm the colors so this conversation will end!
Guest Imladil
Check all you want. I already declared victory four posts ago, and my proof is on the A-wing... Now I'm just arguing because it's fun. Chillin: Are you building a model? If so, that white shade is Testors 'light gull gray'...and I would get the red by mixing 'Ford engine red' with 'gunship gray' (it's almost a maroon.) Guest Imladil
Turquoise and insignia yellow would be more racy, sporting colors than dull old gray and red. I suggest Rogue Squadron adopt this new Y2K color scheme at once. I'll be repainting my models.
Guest The Master
Ccan I help repaint them? I bet my apprentice could lend a helping hand too!
Guest Shootist
Gray with red stripes...add some stars and it really looks like a rebel flag from the past. Yup, this gotta change. How 'bout Mars Gou Green with little Darth heads stinciled on the sides to indicate "kills." ------------------ Don't do things like wear stinkey green tennis shoes, they may get a lot of attention, but attention ain't the same thing as love...Ack...Phhht!!! Guest Imladil
Nahhh. Paint it black, with chrome silver fittings...and a flaming red and orange pirate skull on the stabilizer fin. Add 'howlers' on the front to produce stuka-like screaming in the dive run, and we'll be talking about a spacefighter dressed for maximum intimidation. But, if intimidation isn't on the day's duty roster, we can always go with different variations. Pale green and pastel pink for the girlie pilots. Mother of pearl with gold and alabaster, for the classy jet-setter. Space camoflauge: black with mirrored spots. Or howzabout the Warner Brothers edition: pastel blue and silver with decals of all your favorite Looney Tunes stars! And when we're going up against soft outposts, we can paint the ships bright day-glo orange just to show them that we aren't afraid. ------------------ "Is the state of being realized as important as realizing the state of being?" --Thrustweasel of Earth
Guest Corran Horn
Okay here goes... Correlian Blood strip (Used only by honoured Correlians), The Red rectangle type thingy that's on Luke Skywalker's X-Wing, Black all over, Green strip with green markings on the s-foils, and a couple I forgot... Guest Imladil
Well, in X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter, the different squadrons have different markings--even the TIE fighters have colored arrows painted on their stabilizers. Red Squadron (the squadron Luke joined in Star Wars) and Rogue Squadron (the group he flies with in TESB) both have the same color scheme. Is this because they're the same squad, with a new name...or is it a completely new squadron? Remember, the only time we hear Rogue Squadron mentioned at all in the movies is on Hoth, where they fly snowspeeders. I remember there being some silly narrative at the beginning of the game, but I no longer have a copy. In that narrative they talked about how the squad got started, but I forget what was said. I mean, heck! I was there to blow s**t up, not read a story... ------------------ "Is the state of being realized as important as realizing the state of being?" --Thrustweasel of Earth
