Guest garyah99
If you're talking series, then definitely Star Trek. It was the most innovative and original series of it's time. Many of today's modern day appliances I believe had some sort of origin in Star Trek: ie; cell phones (communicators), CT scans and MRI's (medical tri-corders), Phased energy and LASER based weapons and medical instruments. My other three favourites, just because I liked them were; Fireball XL-5, Lost in Space, and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. ------------------ Every time I think I've found the end of the rainbow...I trip over it. Guest Shootist
Yeah, Battlestar G. was ok, I just associate it with a particularly screwed up person from my military past, now it's just a channel change catylist. ------------------ VERY FUNNY SCOTTY, now please beam down my PANTS!!! Guest Imladil
Hey, anyone else here like "Space: Above and Beyond?" I thought it was a good war story, although I would have come up with a more appropriate title. ------------------ "I sought the true nature of reality and discovered instead the real nature of truth." --Thrustweasel of Earth

Guest Scuba
Okay, I have just never heard of it before. Some how it sounds like that one movie called, oh man what is it, Starship Troopers.
Guest Shootist
Has anyone watched Starship Troopers? Man, the graphic work is somethin'! Around Dallas it comes on early on weekdays, we record it and watch it on the weekends when there's nothing good on the tube. Pretty cool if I must say so. Lots of bad bug blastin' and cool graphs. ------------------ VERY FUNNY SCOTTY, now please beam down my PANTS!!!
Guest Imladil
Greetings, Scooby. Welcome to TIE Busters Anonymous, where we try to forget about our problems with the real world and discuss blasting AT-STs instead. Yeah, Space: Above and Beyond was an awful lot like Starship Troopers, only ST was much better. I liked the movie a lot, but kept wondering why the humans were wasting their time with those silly-*** assault rifles. I think I would have gone up a few calibers before going onworld, if you know what I mean... ------------------ "I sought the true nature of reality but discovered instead the real nature of truth." --Thrustweasel of Earth
Guest The Master
Than that reminds me of the Turok games for N64. I have Turok 2 and it is excellent and have seen pictures of others.
Guest Shootist
Yeah IMLADIL, just from lookin' at my moniker you can probably see I agree with the bigger is better idea. If you can't stick your fist down the barrel it's just a pop gun. We can blame ST's small weaponry on their intel. folks. Welcome SCUBA! We're a little unusual around here, so don't run off!!! ------------------ VERY FUNNY SCOTTY, now please beam down my PANTS!!!

Guest Chillin
Hello everyone. My favorite series is a book actually. The series is called X-Wing it is about Rogue Squadron it is written by Michael A. Stackpole, later in the series Wedge (Antilles) starts another squadron called Wraith Squadron at this time in the series the books are taken over by Aaron Alston. Later the series swiches back to RS. The squadrons through many adventures, they even retake Coruscant from the Empire. You should all read it. ------------------ "Life is fair." It has now been written.
Guest Imladil
I used to have one of the X-wing series books, but I never got into it very far. It's the sort of thing I like better when I can play a part in it... Don't let them fool you. The real Rogue Squadron is us right here; all of us have more combat time than that little punk space fairy, Luke Skywalker, by the time we've gotten through the game...and those of us who've played the X-Wing series of CD-ROM games could probably zap up TIEs like Wedge Antilles. And if you watch the movie carefully, you'll note that Luke himself never roped an AT-AT. Hell, I've roped them buggers drunk! ------------------ "I sought the true nature of reality but discovered instead the real nature of truth." --Thrustweasel of Earth
Guest Chillin
Well you've got to give Luke a little credit Dack was dead and it probably would have killed him to turn around and try to hook one of those grazing cows and pilot the speeder at the same time. ------------------ "Life is fair." It has now been written.
Guest Scuba
That sounds like a good book series so I'll have to borrow it from a friend. Has any one read Star Wars: Young Jedi Knights?
