Guest Imladil Posted June 25, 2000 Posted June 25, 2000 If the fuzz-whatsit is a three-dimensional object, then its own shadow would be its two-dimensional equivalent...its fourth-dimensional equivalent would be its physicality over the course of its existance, and its third dimensional equivalent would be either a clone or a replication, depending. Since only God can exist in one dimension, its one-dimensional equivalent either doesn't exist or is God Himself (depending on your own particular worldview.) If a fuzz-whatsit is an idea, then all bets are off.
Guest Q Posted June 26, 2000 Posted June 26, 2000 Hmmmm... Two dimensional.... What would the world be like if it was two dimensional?
Guest Imladil Posted June 26, 2000 Posted June 26, 2000 We would know of things like distance and angles, but concepts like depth and time would be completely outside of our reality. It would never occur to us that a solid object had an inside, or that it was possible to know what was behind a line.
Guest The Master Posted June 26, 2000 Posted June 26, 2000 You should know, Q. You are all knowing as I have heard. Then explain the forth dimension to me.
Guest Imladil Posted June 27, 2000 Posted June 27, 2000 Yes, Q, we're waiting... Somehow I don't think Q expected to find carbon units discussing philosophy and metaphysics.
Guest George the Armadillo Posted June 27, 2000 Posted June 27, 2000 Nor did the Armadillos. We are superior to puny humans... ------------------ I've never done a stupid thing in my entire life, with the exception of all that stuff I did
Guest Imladil Posted June 27, 2000 Posted June 27, 2000 An armadillo is kind of like an anteater with a candy shell. I'm sorry...
Guest Chillin Posted June 30, 2000 Posted June 30, 2000 We are not puny you are just an oversized Roly-Poly!
Guest The Master Posted July 1, 2000 Posted July 1, 2000 I guess that is just to bad.(He will be back, crying for acceptance. )
